This short documentary narrates the love found for beekeeping in London. Following several beekeepers, the film describes what holistically compels these people towards such a niche pastime.
But what started out as a communication of someone else’s passion, quickly became a personal one. Welcomed warmly into the community, we became entangled in the network of beekeepers and their projects.
In a surreal fast forward moment, we found ourselves wandering through the wings of HMP Wandsworth. Commissioned to craft labels for the prison made honey jars, we hosted collaborative workshops inside the prison to design labels with the men. We translated the designs into stamps and returned these to the prison Arts Hub for future label production.

Considering the ethics of the project months later, i completed a piece of writing discussing the social and moral implications of using arts and crafts as a rehabilitation tool inside prisons.
